Everywhere you look in Bridge of Allan there are traces of history and of an immensely popular historical Victorian spa town. You can still see the same buildings and landmarks that a young Robert Louis Stevenson was inspired by when he and his family visited to 'take the waters' in the mid 1800's.
Affectionately known locally as BofA and as Stirling's west end, today's Bridge of Allan is a vibrant small town that offers a unique blend of history and modern living. The old Victorian buildings have been regenerated into new and bustling businesses, boutiques and eateries, art galleries and delicatessens. There really is something for everyone here.
